Our reactions show our hand like tells in poker (gotta keep up with the analogies). We can gripe, cringe, glare or pretend like there is no problem. We even sometimes bluff and not show anyone the hardship. Our reactions can get us “kicked off the table,” out of the bar/relationship/job and into a newly dealt bad card. This might be giving you the insight that your reactions shape your card draw to life. It might not shape the content of the life card that you draw but it tilts your hand into a likely perspective towards that card, even if good (“this wont last”). Like domino toppling, it can trigger chain reactions that are originally dependent on our first reaction/perception. We can blame the card, randomly dealt to us almost deterministically, or we can intervene at the only place we have control, our perceptions.
