We are all familiar, or soon will be, with the phrases of “being dealt a bad hand” and “dealing with the cards you got.” These hide wisdom about the human experience of circumstances being outside our control and to work within these circumstances instead of getting upset, having grief or having a case of the “shoulds” (see course on shoulding). But what if a “bad” hand could be seen as an opportunity in the bigger game of life? This course is a wild card that has just been dealt to you. It can be a powerful, transformational card or it can be discarded. It all depends on your perspective.

Bad hands are good?
Bad hands shape who we have become. They have made us wiser when dealt similar hands. We change our reactions and strategies because of the wisdom from these bad hand experiences.

If we are always seeking “good” hands filled with “good” life cards, then we will always be caught in suffering when the inevitable “bad” life cards are dealt to you.
