Info Slave

Information made shocking, taboo or fringe entices the mind to learn more. It is like a hook that peaks your interest to explore new concepts or assertions. Its potency captures the mind into expending energy of neuron-synaptic-firings beyond the default minimums of comprehension. Information doesn’t always need to be potent to compel you to do mind computational work. These small bits of work can be a form of forced labor without compensation (slavery).

When prompted with information your mind auto-determines if it is “good” or “bad” as well as if you “want more” (crave) or to “get rid of that” (aversion). Sometimes this is all it does, a quick judgement and then moves on. Although seen as trivial, this is still a mind tax and energy sink that you feel powerless to stop.

If intrigued, your mind might go on further adventures in associations to memories and concepts as well as analytical thoughts. All seemingly on automatic settings or on your master’s command. This information can occupy your day, impact your sleep, well-being and shape your reality. Should you be concerned about your mind’s auto-pilot settings towards information?

Consider: Are you compelled? Are you an info slave?
