Chapter 1
We open up the spigots of information every day, sometimes multiple at a time. Social media feeds, 24/7 news channels, music, friends, colleagues, there are many sources including your own mind. We often let it manipulate our thoughts, perceptions, emotions and behaviors. Quite an allotted power and “master.” We then can become a source that regurgitates it to our friends, family, colleagues or visa versa.
We are so habituated to our relationship with information that is akin to the air around us, that we breathe in to exist. We feel it to be a vital dependency so we open up the aperture and let it all in. An information habitat that we do not attempt to sufficiently control or even see it as a problem.
