Meh is unconditional love. Because it is unconditional, it is indifferent to anything that inpedes it. In essence, it doesn’t matter what your neighbor does, you are supposed to have unconditional love for them.

You might have a warped view of love, fyi. Thinking it is only with a spouse, intimacy, some sort of infatuation or tingly feeling. Did Jesus want you to feel that towards your neighbor? Those are more like desirous attachments, cravings or indulgences.

Love is entirely different than these qualities and likely what you believe it to be. Love is seeing yourself in the other, the common essence, and radically accepting this common essence that is prior to conditioning (ego). The knowing of this truth is love.

So when Jesus said “Love thy neighbor” he was meaning “Know and accept all essence unconditionally.” Your unconditional love is indifferent to the avatar/ego before you. It pervades all. Weird to be personified as Meh but that is the unique hook. We should be already operating from a place of radical acceptance/unconditional love and the superficial interactions of the self/ego should be treated with indifference.

In other words, meh your neighbor.
